not at all...the lips are near enough ground off completely on 3 of them.

we worked out to get them to the standard id want theyll cost almost £700 to fix.

some of those bits wont stay like that for long

Long list and it all adds up.

Plus some of the lips are bent to fuck and need straightening.

right then...so i missed Springfest, but atleast I'm still alive.

if this had happened on the M6 to Springfest at 70mph, i would hate to think what state me, my missus and the car would be in and i know the bill wouldve been alot higher than what it is.

this is the story.......

went round an island and the back end drifted, seeing as it had rained heavily i thought it was a mixture of rain water and a diesel spill.

carried on and all was fine until i got 1 mile down the road a came to another island...i braked for it and the back end stepped out and almost spun the car, held it together made it half way around the island and the back end started shaking violently.

managed to slow down and creep onto a small car park...only to get out and see this.

jacked the car up and all sunk in that i was really fucking lucky.

the hub internal had exploded and ripped everything apart.

yes that is the drum still bolted to the wheel.

with the AA rung and with an ETA of 2hrs...i decided to find a way to hold the car up so me and the missus could sit in it.

what the inside [or at this point...outside] looked like.

the only damage to the bodywork...which tbh, i dont give a fuck about.

you can see the paint mark on the tyre from where the arch dropped onto it.

luckily, i stopped outside a newsagents...so we had a picnic while we waited for the AA.

eventually the nights in shining hi-vis appeared.

with the use of a trolley jack under the back end, we managed to drag it into place to get it on the truck.

so after it happening at 6.15...by 10.30 we finally managed to drag her into the garage after blocking my whole road off with the recovery truck.

all i have to say is i cannot fault the AA one bit, service was brilliant.

and again...I'm so happy it happened where it did and not on the motorway.

after looking at it today...i require:

new brakes

new bearings

new stub axle

new hubs

new cylinders

gonna do the other side just incase.

after the antics of saturday night, i was supposed to start my new job monday morning...with one phone call and an understanding mate he let me start tuesday instead haha.

monday i got all the parts together an had a late one to get it all sorted.

all the new parts.

new drums, with all new internals...both sides were done.

Ye they are Jon, bunch of c**ts...ordered the parts at 9.30, told they were all in at 1 minus the stub axle, went up at 3.30 cause they said it was there only to find out one wheel cylinder wasn't there...meaning I had to order one over the phone from your branch and get it sent to my moms work so she could bring it home.

Seriously fucked me off they did.
