Gave the car some attention.

Had a wobble on the front. Turns out the CV joints gone.

took me a couple hours to read through this as i kept getting distracted by fb,

but holy sh*t this is my favourite polo on here by far,

your dedication and hardwork plays a mad part in that! looking forward to seeing the future of this car.

I do have ideas up my sleeve to change it for next year but all about money (or lack of it) for what I want to do.

So today's antics.

Off with the Steffans. Polished, waxed and wrapped up until next year and on with the steels.

Also got cracking with smoothing the 8v bumper doing shit properly and botch jobbing it.

Original recess cut out.

Marking up to cut flat section out of rear bumper.

Trial fitted and shaped to fit the hole.

Plastic welded new section inside and out.

Skimmed inside and out with plast-x filler.

good job on the bumper so far robb. looking good. I was never happy with mine so recently bought a new 16v bumper myself

Cheers man, people think there hard to do, but I got all this done in less than 2hrs.

I couldn't be arsed to do anymore, so I'll get it finished into primer next week.

I will be keeping my 16v bumper, so people don't ask for it haha.

Got some more tricks up my sleeve anyone got a mint pair of front wings?

Haha I wish. We've got 3 E-Types (2 roadsters, 1 fixed head), an Austin Healey, Alfa Montrial, MGA coupe, Volvo 144, old Mini and a Subaru XT in atm. Got another couple E-Types, an old XK150 and a Riley RM booked in.

Filling the Polo is a Saturday treat for myself.

As Kiz mentioned, I'm used to working on E-Types. These are a few we've got in atm.

Started the day smashing a doorstep bacon and egg sarnie.

Got the bumper smoothed out. Much harder to smooth/shape an 8v than it is a 16v.

Repaired a dent on the front valance.

Fully prepped and set up in the booth.

All primered up.
