  • You don't know the half of it 😉 Possibly ye. Didn't get indoors...again. Obviously not sticking my cock in the right arseholes. Don't think they can appreciate a home grown self built car, that hasn

  • Looks so nice!# Love the colour on those wheels.

  • i dont have any centres on them, there just steels. i didnt have chance to repaint them before i put them on. i sold my G60s for £200, bought these for £50 and then they ended up going on the car

I was going to, but as I've found out with my valver not having one. The front bumper needs to come off to tow it. Had to do it before and it was a ballache.

I'll be in touch, maybe. Need to watch the pennies for abit.

spose its harder/longer to remove an 8v, but saying that how many times a year do you have to tow it?

no worries, let me know :)

I have no idea how to remove/refit an 8v haha.

Thankfully, it's only needed towing once when my driveshaft popped off, but it's just easier haha.

8v is easy to get off.

And look forward to pictures of the 8v on the car :)

Got rust on the sill I need to sort. I boiled the paint on the back arches from scrubbing to VW Action, which has no rusted.

Got to rectify that an make a front bumper and do some other trick things by UD haha.

heya dood, any photos of the finished bumper?

I'm making a new bumper for next year- but I'm going to be in touch with you about spraying as I'm starting to learn outsourcing stuff gets your car finished for show season.

It's still in primer, gathering dust at work haha.

Change of plan. The smoothed 8v MAY be up for sale shortly as I will be making a custom front bumper instead. Just waiting on parts :)

Aslong as its all prepped ready, I'm sure I can sort something. Don't want to be finishing the work off if you get me.

just sent you a message on facecase. thats no problem mate- my prep is normally top notch so thats fine. i just dont really have the spraying environment anymore so i want to send it somewhere i trust

BIG NEWS!!

New wheels been collected tomorrow hopefully!!

  • Author

So did a 210mile round trip today to pick up the new wheels.

Take one wod of cash:

9D5917A1-6A45-4F2B-AFC1-FB85F858F5BB-105

Plenty of supplies:

One empty motorway:

And your on to a good thing.

These are them.

15x7 et25 BBS RM001's. They are totally original, never been stripped. So prime for a rebuild to my spec.

Not bad for a drunken purchase haha.

Same to you, pleasure doing business with you.

Probably be later this year they see the car, got plenty more saving to do to get them to what I want but there a very good base to work on.

Nice choice! Look forward to seeing them on 8-)

Gonna be a massive dent in my wallet from doing them up.

Gonna be no expense spared. Radinox and gold is all I'm saying ;)

You splitting them? Or paying for them to get done?

Can't wait to see this ready for show season

If your looking to build your car to a show standard (This is the impression I get) Would it not have made sense to spend the money else where? Your wheels were unique and really cool, they also fitted in with the rest of the cars theme.

Now your gonna spend a fortune on a set of wheel that more than 50% of cars at shows will be rocking, shame to not have stayed different buddy, that was what was going well for this car :)
