Higgo, where can the money be spent elsewhere? Not interested in engine work, happy with the interior as it is, same with the body. Pointless having air with 14" fake splits.

I feel I give a fair critic, there is something for me that isn't right with the front end for sure, think its just a combination of things ( before making that post I hadent seen your making some sort of front bumper which I am very intrigued by )

I think I have always not liked the little things like the side repeaters, headlights and indicators and the front grille. You have a lot of skill in the fact of what you do as a profession and I think you should be using that as much as you can on the car.

I don't understand your point by BBS treatment? BBS are played out and boring, I'm a huge fan of the car in its current spec as its different, just think it needed the finishing touches I mentioned above.

The bumper will be a love or hate thing. I've mentioned it to a few people and they are either amazed or sceptical. Only doing it will see. But I'm all for trying something new.

I have orange front indicators, the only reason there not fitted is cause I believe the orange doesn't work with the red. I did have crystal Inpro's but the bulb holders have come loose inside. The side repeaters...well, I do have a plan but only if I get a donor set of front wings cause I'll be transplanting/grafting some others in. I have been offered a badged grill, so should be getting that to see how it works on the car.

The wheels will be no expense spared, there going to be done over the next XXXXX amount of months. They will be done tastefully and in my opinion suit the car 110%.

At the end of the day, I'M the hardest critic of the car as I wouldn't do anything to it I'm not happy with and don't think looks good. I wouldn't dream of putting pink wheels on it and daisy trim interior. Whereas I know the wheels will suit the car and WILL tie certain things together and finish certain aspects off.

BBS and polo's are done so much because they look so good together. Can't wait to see these on Rob!

Take 3 bumpers and attempt to make 1 custom bumper.

1 butchered valver bumper.

Trial and error.

Still got LOOOOOADS of work to do but atleast the main head ache is done.

Bonded on with adhesive sealer and counter sunk pop rivets.

Can anyone guess what it is/going to be?

Smooth recess

Extend smooth recess down

Smooth off upper vents

Smooth tow eye cap

Blend all edges

Get 6n2 GTI splitter

Give me a few more weeks.

Done more chopping today.

Out with the recess.

After 4hrs of plastic welding everything gone.

The recess has been extended down by about 2". Both remaining side grills and toe eye cap smoothed.

With the grill fitted. Next week I'll get on and get some filler on it.
