IMG_6078.jpg

yesterday i broke down, all the bolts had either fallen out or come loose on the drive shaft, meaning i lost all drive/gears.

img0694yx.jpg

how to get a 6n with a smoothed front bumper home? take the bumper off so you can tow it:

  • You don't know the half of it 😉 Possibly ye. Didn't get indoors...again. Obviously not sticking my cock in the right arseholes. Don't think they can appreciate a home grown self built car, that hasn

  • Looks so nice!# Love the colour on those wheels.

  • i dont have any centres on them, there just steels. i didnt have chance to repaint them before i put them on. i sold my G60s for £200, bought these for £50 and then they ended up going on the car

Gutting bro, at least it wasnt on the m6 going to poloshow  Its looking superb as always 8-)

It's the so called "gearbox specialists" fault...they put the old bolts in after having a new box rather than replacing them.

Just means it's another £20 spent out on top of the £76 for new discs and pads today and the full service kit I need to buy soon...fucking hell.

right then, with this small update i will await the "fat c**t" comments.

my drivers seat turned into a rocking chair and upon taking it out and having a look to see why, this is what i was faced with.

one of the braces had snapped clean in half.

img0714j.jpg

img0715cq.jpg

but on the plus side, taking the seat out did reveal some finds:

img0718uy.jpg

and while the seat was out i thought i best replace my indicator stalk which broke about 8 months ago and i never got round to changing haha.

the new one to go i, decided to change both indicator and wiper stalk [and yes, i did take my shoes off to change it haha]

img0716x.jpg

all stripped down, wish i had a Momo Scene steering wheel to put back on :(

i had my first experiance with real mechanics today haha [us paint sprayers dont like oil and grease]

my step dad was very kind in walking me through how to fit new discs and pads cause the Haynes manual just wasnt cutting it.

img0782jy.jpg

img0783wh.jpg

old Vs. new

img0785nl.jpg

all fitted with my own fair hands haha...M-Tec drilled and grooved discs with Mintex pads...not bad for £69 all in including postage:

img0787y.jpg

rust much?

img0788h.jpg

seriously fucked Predator discs and EBC pads...no wonder i was getting so much wobble under braking:

img0789ok.jpg

mmm shiny:

img0790ld.jpg

so there we have it...super proud of myself that i managed to do it...it might not mean much to you, but it does to me haha.

My favourite 6n by far!

Good work on the brakes

First time seeing this post and wow what a good looking car. love the wheels and the roof

New brakes look good, I changed my pads the otherday.

I want some new shiny discs now though! :p

Deffo recommend M-techs...cheapest drilled and grooved I could find and they work incredibly well.

Got a couple of updates but not got pictures to back it up yet haha.

Attention to detail is incredible on this car, credit to you my man!

Saw this at edition. Looked nice :)

Parked next to you in wolvo the other night, lookin nice and lovin roof

everybody loves updates and I've got a fair few of them.

the show plate i got from Edition:

img0978r.jpg

img0881g.jpg

the car was drinking water and oil and making some serious noises...plus 'IN02' was showing on the dashboard.

time for an out and out service.

same as with the brakes, i did all the work with guidance from the step dad.

new alternator belt, timing belt kit, plugs, oil, oil filter and air filter.

img0911u.jpg

img0912up.jpg

img0914a.jpg

img0915ss.jpg

img0919g.jpg

img0923jd.jpg

and i even got dirty hands...and no, not from falling over lol:

img0913wv.jpg

it now runs like an absolute dream.

after 3 weeks my birthday present off my mom and step dad turned up in a stupidly oversized box.

img0931z.jpg

I've joined the Momo Scene!!!!

Momo Team 300 and boss:

img0936rf.jpg

and can you guess what this is?

img0937kd.jpg

img0941yl.jpg

and for those who didnt answer the question to themselves...

its a genuine Bentley ashtray that you get in the Mulsannes and Arnage T's:

img0938xa.jpg

THAT BRINGS US TO TODAY......

before:

img0956ea.jpg

after [a lot of head scratching cause the fitting instructions made no sense to me at all]

img0958kx.jpg

now obviously the 6n doesnt have cup holders, so i had to come up with another way of fitting the ash tray.

yes this is quite marmite, but i dont give a fuck tbh.

why does the gear gaitor look like a black cock here haha:

img0960zv.jpg

anyway, back on track...i made a small hole for the clip on the bottom of the ashtray to go into:

img0961o.jpg

this idea didnt work as the ashtray was loose and wobbling about...so time for plan B.

remove the 2 tiny screws from underneath and take the inner cup out.

the best option was to put 2 self tappers through and into the plastic.

img0965q.jpg

this caused its own problems as the cup wouldnt sit flush causing the lid to stay open slightly...so out with the belt sander:

img0967kk.jpg

Mr Shelvey appeared and couldnt help himself from having a mess haha:

img0966ns.jpg

its now firmly fixed in place and shouldnt go anywhere:

img0972kj.jpg

img0975r.jpg

with the tiny screws no longer holding the cup in, it now means its easier to empty it:

img0974oz.jpg

img0973sz.jpg

i arrived home to find a parcel.

a 6n2 stubby passenger mirror...i also have a n2 drivers stubby mirror on order which hasnt arrived...when it does ill get them both painted and fitted.

img0976kl.jpg

img0977nl.jpg

comments and critisms welcome.

not really an update, just a bit of picture whoreage.

gave her a good clean the weekend.

img1025fd.jpg

i love how the water beads on a highly waxed roof haha.

img1027qa.jpg

img1028zv.jpg

so at Edition i hit a bump at a funny angle and bent my arch:

img1032uv.jpg

img1033u.jpg

block of wood and a rubber mallet solved that:

img1034e.jpg

my arches are truely horrendous...winter job me thinks:

img1035br.jpg

img1036ep.jpg

img1043we.jpg

not a bad reflection for non detailed paintwork:
