I bought some rear 4 x 6 speakers and they have the holes in each corner so they slot into the correct place. but they dont stay put when i go over bumps, they just fall down. how do i keep them there?? any idea?

Either its me or there isnt any bolts/nuts holding that up is there? Might explain why it keeps coming down cant be much more of a help I'm afraid.

have some special time with just you and them, maybe light some candels, then when it feels right apply some man adhisive to them and go stick them to your polo

mayb try removin your shelf supports and sticking the speakers to them with sticks like shit or something, then leave them over night to dry before they have to take the weight of the speakers, or you could bolt them on

You know them little mini thick elastic band things, (like washers), i was thinking of getting 4 of them and rolling them up towards the speaker on the stick... Il bodge it anyway dude

sounds like a plan, you want them fixxed solid as if there not thele rattle when you play your tunes

may sound silly but cheap and easy get elastic bands on the four lugs and tie them round as many times as you can they shouldnt slip its either that or no more nails tape bud

I like the elastic band idea, Il half inch some from work tomorrow and whack em on in the car park :)

Why dont you get hold of the proper bits. someone breaking a mk3 should surely have some? Should be some little baskets the speakers sit in and some plastic nuts.

The rubber washers sound like a fair idea, but you're almost certainly going to get some vibration 'cos they won't be tight enough. Best thing you could do is use screws. The speakers should have come with some

Why not go to VW and get the self-tapping nuts that you're supposed to use and were fitted as standard?

Best thing to do is get the proper mounting baskets. Personally, I normally just drill 4 little holes in the black bits of the grill and whack 4 self tappers in.
