Comments: Bought this car off Polory late last year as my first car and love it! Unfortunately its been sat in my driveway since then as i haven't past my test yet :(

Hi mate, yeah I've been meaning to put this up for a while but keep getting sidetracked! No not yet, i failed my last one so got another this month so fingers crossed :p Well its only left the driveway once, took it for a spin around homebase car park which was interesting when i hit the speed bumps..haha

Ok so i cant really remember what order i did stuff in but ill try and put this in some kind of order :p

The car didnt come with a rear bench and after a few months of searching i thought i'd build myself some flooring..

First thing to do was make a template of the boot space and transfer this onto a piece of MDF. Unfortunately once i cut it out i realised it wasnt going to fit straight inside so i cut it in half. I also made up some panels to mount some speakers in :)

Nailed some blocks underneath the mdf for support...

Add some carpet!

One sheet did the floor + i had some offcuts left over

Back on track..as I had some left-over matt black i decided to give the bootlid a few coats. Also got a new rear number plate, a sweet Lucky Strike sticker and i've started doing a bit of refurb on the bumpers.

Also had a suprise when I took a closer look at the front number plate. I live in Poringland so I think buying this car was fate

Next on the agenda was fitting the wheels which took a while as i was waiting on some tyres and spacers. Got the rear wheels fitted first and then the fronts as soon as the spacers arrived.

This is how the car stands now :) (excuse the lack of bumper, the tape over the lights and the filthy bonnet, chalk and water dont mix well :p)

Will be getting some paint mixed up soonish so the wing will match the rest of the car :p Rear arches need some neatening up aswell and more lowerage! Oh and front arches may require slight modification...haha

Cheers :) Well after some rain I realised there was a wet patch in the carpet under in the drivers side footwell. so there was only one thing for it...

It seems as though the water had collected underneath the part where the seat bolts in at the front, but i dont see how it could keep gathering there :S The carpets stank so they'll be out while i source some black ones but while the seats were out i thought i'd tart them up a bit with some fabric dye :)

Not the best job in the world but it looks bit better than it did!

The plan is to have the seats re-covered by a family friend and after reading good old Retro Cars magazine i spotted some MK1 style fabric so i sent away for a sample :)

Gunna have to wait till my next paycheck to get them done though!

Also decided to have a go at redecorating one of my doorcards which which was interesting.. ( i know comic books arent very original but mehhh, its peeling off already anyway :p

Not sure if they're gunna stay like that yet..

Also went down to a VW scrappy an hour or so away last weekend but it was shut when we got there :( Also on the way back my friend went into my other mates golf and put a nice tow bar shaped dip in his bumper haha

A heatgun and a hammer soon fixed it

thanks, nah bought some new front and rear door cards. Really wanna mount some speakers in the pockets though..

Sprayed some stripes on my grill and the bumpers back on, minus the indicators..too lazy to do it :p

Also attempted to wire in my headunit but couldnt make any sense of the wires haha. Going to the scrappy this friday so hopefully ill be able to pick up some window seals...before it rains again

haa geeza, shes lookin sweet, that bloke at the scrappy tho was a idiot. then i wired you head unit so shes bangin out some tunes now :)

Bit of an update...resprayed the bumpers black with the original red stripe

Also made a slightly ghetto cover for the battery etc, doesnt look amazing but its not like you can see it when the bonnets down :p

Also managed to get some black carpets to replace the old grey ones but cant fit until i find out where the water is getting in. Water seems to be gathering under the gas peddle and coming up from under where you bolt the driver seat in? Rather puzzling..
