Loving this car :) however..had some trouble with the carb but thats been sorted now. Car keeps cutting out whilst idling and the battery came on so i thought the battery might be knackered. Got a new battery but its still happening :( any ideas? My first thoughts were the alternator could be knackered...

Apart from that though its awesome! got a list of things i need to do to it to get it just how i want it so ill keep you guys posted!

Could be the alternator i did change regulator on it when i had it n that sorted it could be the same problem.

Got the carpets and doorcards in finally! :) Feels a bit more like a car now..

Anyone got a matching passenger side doorcard?

Ariel is back on and splitter is er...hanging on :p

Pimped out the spare wheel while everything was out...

Stuff to do....

- Get alternator sorted

- Find a matching p/s doorcard

- Get some winter car mats

- Get a center console to hide the wiring

- Secure the speaker panels in the back better and whatnot..

Had wet feet from the snow, reversing into a space next to a brick wall and my foot slipped off the clutch and before i could hit the brake i kinda grinded against it :( Felt like a right fool! haha

In others news....thankyou to 'leonh' who is supplying me with a couple of replacement rear lights, also tested my alternator which is working fine.

Is it worth replacing the pierburg carb with a weber one which will cost around £140 new? Or should i just get a refurb kit off the net for it? My mate had a look at it and its one of the larger rubber mounts which has perished and is letting air in :(
