Ok so I have got a MK2 Coupe S and some 13 x 7 et-7 super lights.... I know there are about a million threads on this but I cant find exactly what I'm looking for...

I haven't bought shocks n springs yet to my question is this:

What drop and what method?

I want to spend as little as possible (doesn't everyone ). I am thinking 70mm drop and flaring the arches with an arch roller hired from ebay.. does this sound like a plausable option or am i looking at a lot more work? also can I go 80mm or am I taking the piss?

I dont want to spend more than 100 bucks making the arches fit the wheels, if it wont work ill sell the rims and move on. If however it can be done, I will be over the moon because the wheels look amazing and in my opinion they really suit the car.

Update: the fronts stick out like an inch and a bit so unless anyone has any ideas, these wheel will be up for sale/swap...

couldn't you just roll and pull your arches and size your tyres wisely, my mms used to stick out an inch, after rolling and pulling they stick out 10mm then with a bit of maths and some stretching.... they sit perfectly

Yeah, that sounds like the way forward...

I think I'm going to leave it to someone else because I cant afford 4 new tyres and the rolling and stuff. Its a real shame because they look great but at this point it needs to pass its mot and i cant afford the mods required to make this work. :(
