Brentacre are bloody brilliant...

Featured Replies

Thought i would put up how just how helpful they are as they quoted me just under £1000 for a policy that will cover me well over the bhp i want from my proposed g40 conversion , I'm 20, 2yrs driving with 1yrs no claims and 1 claim that was 18months ago.

So to anyone that is looking at insurance for a highly modified car i cannot rate them highly enough.

Might have to phone them up when I get mine on the road. Keep hearing good things about brentacre - hope they can quote me less than the cheapest I've found so far :)

I'm probably going with them when i renew (end of this month)

May ring them for a quote tomorrow as I've less than 30 days till renewal now i think about it.

they couldn't beat flux for me, plus when I rang them and challenged their renewal price, they knocked nearly £500 off!

So why couldn't they give me their most competitive price on my renewal? That just felt like they were trying to rip me off, so I told them where to go and changed to flux.

I'm currently with flux

I'll stick with them if these cant beat um.

I've found Brentacre vary depending upon which salesman/women you speak to. Some figures are just made up on the spot - I enquired about a 20bhp raise to the limit and there were a few mumbles, bit of confusion and an the price increased exactly £200, which was a 50% rise from the 100bhp limit price! Still, they beat the Flux quote by miles.

I've been with them for 9 years, never had any hassle. even gave me a competative price on our skyline.

Brentacre are boss. Sorted me out everytime i've called... friendliest welsh people i know tbh ha.

I had a similar thing. Got my renewal several years back, did the usual ringing around for quotes - and Flux wanted half what Brentacre quoted. So called Brentacre back, and the matey on the end of the 'phone said I must've lied to Flux about my mods to get such a cheap quote - so I switched to Flux for a few years.

Am now with Sky Insurance (had a claim last year, so Flux weren't competitive any more) who did me a great deal.

Flux were about 20% more expensive than Sky, but Brentacre were a gobsmacking 250% more expensive! I mean, £1500 fully-comp for a garaged 190bhp Polo CL/G40 turbo, 5 years NCB, 27 years old, clean license for >10 years and one claim was crazy talk. It's not like I live in a high risk postcode either. Anyway, I insured both my cars for much less than that with Sky!

Just goes to show that what's great for one person isn't for another, and that it always pays to shop around.

I'm with Brentacre and have never had any problems with them. They probably weren't THE cheapest for me, but they were certainly very competitive. And I thought it made more sense to go with them and know I won't have any extra charge for any mods, rather than somewhere else where I'd have an extra £100 or whatever added to premium everytime I changed something like with my previous insurance company.

Although my insurance is due for renewal next month so we'll see what they quote me then

Mine worked out cheaper staying with flux than it did swapping to brentacre.

Cheaper by £100, lower excess and breakdown recovery.

But i honestly thought they would beat flux, shocking.

I'm sure you all know my car, i pay £650 fully comp all mods declared and a high horsepower. (with brentache)

My previous insures who were disgraceful in everyway and will never use again were adrian flux and the cheapest they said was £2100, funny thing is - there both brokers and they got the same spec sheet and both quoted on behalf of "highway" so mr flux - where the fook did you get £1350 more from????

dont use flux - there were crap and nasty on the phone all the time to me and left them with an awful taste in my mouth having been a loyal customer for 5years

Shocking that!

They have always been ok with me, only problems i had was with the company they use for credit (pay monthly) And they fucked something up and nealry canceled my insurance. Then wouldn't go back and sort it even though it was there fault.

Always been fine on the phone with me too. Some are a bit dopey but most have been fine with me.

The woman from brentacre was a right moody bint when i rang to get a quote lol!

when i rang brentache i was put through to a specials department and spoke to a top guy who knew his vws, was really interested in the car and was the most friendly person i have ever had on the end of the phone whilst buying something!!!
