I have a set of escort rs turbo seats in the garage. just wondered if anyone has ever put them in a mk3 polo before. Is it a mission or a peice of cake. Please help. Dan

I'm sure it's been done mate but to get them to fit

you'll have to mount them to Polo seat runners...

you will need to get a subframe made up so they fit, what recaros are they? classic style?

the ones I have mount via the posts on the runners then into the frames. the subframe then mounts into the original runners. ill see if i can find pics of them.

Also have a set of Cavalier SRI ones.

need to fabricate some frames to sit in the mk3 polo runners. Then bolt the ford runners on top.

do you have a interior spare? lol... after one for my mk2... have recaro front seats at the moment with fabbed subframes which can be part exchanged or w.h.y just in diar need of a full interior but dont want standard... :(

i just welded the ford sub frames into the polo

thats not a bad idea, I wanted mine to be removable still mind. So i could put standard seats in if i needed :)

Some Polos come with Recaros fitted as standard... though perhaps not the ones you're thinking of.

Stripped these down to retrim (a second time) and was reminded that they're Recaro seats by the factory stickers on the frame. Came from a Mk2F. I imagine there were Recaro seats fitted to some Mk3s as standard, but not the racing style ones.

i think almost all VW seats are made by recaro
