Polo 9N Where is the Central Locking ECU / Convenience Unit?

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm upgrading my 04 Polo to OEM remote central locking (see thread here) and everything is ready. I'm just not sure where the ECU is that I have to replace... I need to pull out the Convenience Module (Locking ECU) and replace it with one I got from another car with built in RF for the remote. Anyone know where the module is? I was told it was above the driver's footwell, but I can only see one large box with way too many plugs. This ECU has 3 connectors max on it. The main dealer said it was under or behind the glovebox. again I couldn't see it. Help!

Thanks!

If anyone else is wondering, it's above the driver's footwell. Remove the air vent first by unscrewing the single torx screw holding it in place and then pulling it out. The said ECU is in it's own bracket above the brake and clutch pedals.
