big old bolt in the tow eye hole, turned it up side down so its fills the square hole as well

have you towed on it?

ahah...a serious sized drill. Boired down through the bumper iron a little bit back, above where the towing eye hole is, then big bolt and a coupe of nuts under the back of it...i've towed my car round on it, works sound ahah
