Are there any good scrappies in Bradford area? I rang my local and they want £40 which is a bit much.

are you just needing legal tyres or do you want wheels too? Because cottingley tyres are cheeeeap for part worns!

depends what he has in really, I've known people get a full set for £25 (fitted) before but I'd imagine it mainly depends on your bartering skills! Just hammer him as hard as you can on price, be prepared to walk away too, you can always go back if you change your mind but if you're lucky he'll give in when you start to turn and walk

Went to Cottingley tyres, very helpful, they did try to put a random steel wheel on the polo which I knew wouldn't fit, so that was

a bit scary haha But they didn't have the tyres I needed.

haha oh well, went to the unit i have four 'fondmetal' wheels with 195/50/15 tyres on so same rolling radius as yours but a little wider, tyres didn't look brilliant but they're legal so if you're desperate they're there

Not beyond repair but it's stripped bare, was going to vr6 it but my partner in the conversion/restoration dropped out and he was the mechanical 'brains' so he took the VR, I took the mk2 and the unit goes, shame really, would have been a nice motor..

Baaaaaad times, mk2 VR is something I want to do...or buy hehe
