the guy above (with red calipers) has got them on the wrong way round... bleed nipple should alwyas be at the top or they will be full of air. Probs why the cables didnt fit well too!

look fine off the car - hose goes in on bottom and nipple on top... but on car look (in wheel well) other way round

not sure..

not quite sure what you guys are on about but the axle is upside down in the first two pics on the first page and the first 3 pics on the second.

on about the caliper being upside down as mounted to the car... by looks of it. nipple needs to be at the top to get all the air out

got my handbrake working today, i had to turn the brackets round as shown, i had to drill out the adaptors to get the end of the cable to push through, i had to drill out my mk4 calipers to get the adaptors to fit.

i did it on the car, was very tight to start with, i used two center joining pieces with a jubalee clip in between them, pulled the whole assembly tight with the handbrake then clamped the rear cables with molegrips, this gave me enough slack to fit a single joining piece

hope I've helped

I think you will probably confuse people further with that as nobody else has needed to start drilling things :S

I had to drill my mk2 golf calipers too, the collars on the adapters were a little large. Tiny amount mind

remembwr that there are many variations of calipers, 2 sizes of mk2 rears aswell as 2 different cable angles, i will have to get some photos up of the different types so people can see what variant of the adapter fits what
