Pic Request

Featured Replies

A few lads from work are trying to convince me to get 60mm springs for my polo instead of coilovers so any pics of 6n's lowered 60mm on 13's would be appreciated :)

1.) Even a 60mm drop on 13s is going to leave you with considerable arch gap on a 6n.

2.) 60mm springs will quickly destroy your standard shocks, 40mm is as low as you should go.

My advice is to ignore your friends and buy coilovers, no pics though sorry.

Fair enough, i mean i dont know what it would look like hence this thread because it could of been an option but thanks for the advice mate :)

Am guessing you work at somewhere like halfords with a bunch of corsa/saxo owners????

This question gets asked probably a hundred plus time a year on here....i had mine lowered 40mm on springs on 15s and just wasnt enough

For the price you'd pay for the springs and then to replace the standard shocks when they go, you're better off saving for just a little bit longer and getting coilovers (i.e. designed to do the job) rather than going for the quick fix which may cost you more in the long run

Also as Folee said, 60mm on 13's will still have horrific arch gap! 100mm drop minimum

though if theyve owned vws then they should know better and not be advising you so badly

i knew that :ninja:

I think its because they hate coilovers, they say they are for 'track use only' oh well i guess coilovers it is!

i had 60mm springs on my first polo on the steelies before i could save up for coilies,

they didn't look to bad tbh (If its just a temp thing)

will try to hunt out a pic for you mate.
