Mr. Clutch - Slough, took my first polo in for a new clutch

came back to pick it up two days later and the poosyholes had changed the battery for no reason and were trying to charge me for it!

i asked them why and they said my old battery was knackered (even though it was only 2 months old) and even though they'd changed the battery the car still wouldnt start so they'd have to keep it for a few days to do a complete 'wiring loom overhaul'

they also didnt let me into the workshop to check the car out :? so i forced myself in, typed in the code for my clifford alarm and miraculously it started!

told them to give my battery back, paid for the clutch and left

is it me or does the mk3 have a bent steering arm thing going on

Had that one and I've had we cant do the tracking as the drivers steering arm is seized, we dont know how to track it as there isnt adjustment on both sides....

funniest to date was kwik fit after an MOT, your emission are a bit high your catalyst might be failing...er there is no cat mate

"your cars to low to jack up"

talking shit man... :lol:8-)

i remember trying to get the tracking done on my old GT, took it to about 5 different garages who all told me it was too low and the wheels too small to use their laser equipment. had to go to some haggard old skool garage in the middle of nowhere with some old dudes working there to do it 'the old fashioned way' lol

thats what i do these days. get my MOT done at the same place, he must be 80 something

When i was selling the 6n2 a guy from a garage come to view it. Claimed the clutch was on its way out (it wasnt) that he needed £100 knocked off as the stereo didnt work and thats the price he would have to pay for a new one (£40 cheap one from halfords would do) Oh and my bumper was unrepairable and would crack if you drove it, require a new bumper and a full respray along with sides blown in to match and cost several hundred. Yet the day after another bloke from a repair shop come and bought it straight away and picked it up and paid for it within the space of half an hour, massive car enthusiast and said the previous bloke was a utter idiot and talked out of his arse. Said would be repaired within 2days. ;)

The unrepairable bumper in question?
