First of all, thank you for taking time to write this up, very useful and helpful. However, I think there is some confusion between simply adding Remote Central Locking using your existing transpond

  • Yes, you can indeed recode the unit to a 5/3 door quite easily with VAG-COM/VCDS.

  • Thanks man, appreciate it. Ordered a CCM with key with a pre-programmed transponder, should be a plug and play so looking forward to it

Not a clue mate. Can't remember if it said in the guide or if it says on the description of the CCM.

It was quite a long time ago!

Okay mate well if you get a chance can you check on your key if you still have it ?

Just checked and its 434MHZ Frequency - Didn't think to check on the key fob.

Thanks mate :) I can get the keys for £15 at the local scrap yard and I can get the ccm for £18 online :)

Sounds about right :)

You need to check if the keys come with a virgin transponder or not (if it includes both the remote and the flip key halves).

It's possible the auto-locksmith will provide one (mine didn't) but if not, the transponder you need is "ID48" and they cost about £5 off eBay.

I'll have a look so it's Id48 transponder chip I need the key will be used so I'll just have to take the chip out

Is 1j0 959 753 ah the same as the da model ?

Hi gibbo I managed to get a key for free from

The scrap yard the code ends in ah is yours the same also does your 9n3 have electric windows as I read that you need electric windows for this to work thanks

My key fob is the same as the model number at the top ending in AH.

And no electric windows, you don't need them for this to work. Not sure where you saw that?

Brilliant :D I saw about the windows when I was searching through posts I've got my ccm coming on Monday/Tuesday £10 + £8 postage so will just be the blade and the immo chip and I'm set to go :D

It's worked :) total cost £30 for key £18 for ccm £4.25 for new bracket

Nice one! Glad it worked!

Did you have to reprogram your CCM or did everything work straight away?

Ccm worked straight away only now I've just realised that I don't have the code for my radio :( so a trip to halfords to get pins and a phone all to vw tomorrow with my vin number it is

Do you have your log book? Your Radio PIN will most likely be in there somewhere!

Alternatively, there may be cheaper alternatives online to getting your PIN...

I've looked can't see anything at all :( am gonna go the dealership and see what they say

Clever people out there help needed! (I am new to this game!)

I have VAG-COM light and I have a brand new key (434MHz)

can someone tell me the exact model number of the remote central locking ECU. (looking for for a plug and play fit?)

Also any advise on getting the old one out, I can see it just cant UN-hook it from the car!! its a 5 door 54 9n mk6

thanks!!

Hi adam I recently done this and ended up breaking the bracket off and got a new one from my local vw parts dealer for less than £5 and once you get it off check the code 6q0959433E is the one you need to get and on your old one it will say h01/s0001 or h02/s0002 your need to replace with this soft code and it will need to say 4-tverig for it to be a 5 door just remember when you disconnect the battery you will need your radio code I got my ccm online for £10 and £8 postage anything else give me a shout the bracket does have a retainer clip in between the 2 holding brackets

Hi and thanks Noony92

can i do the soft code on VAG-com lite or will I need another way?

cheers

Adam

For the ccm type in 6q0959443e on Google and choose the motorsinmotion page and that will be what you're looking for

If your ccm is h01/s0001 and your get a ccm with that code on it will be plug and play and vice versa with h02/s0002 as long as them codes are the same it's plug and play

cant find the motorsinmotion page but thanks anyway! basically tomorrow need to extract my current one, look at it, note the numbers down and order one with the part number of: 6q0959443e and then match the other number, get the key cut and all should be good?!?!?!?!?

thanks for your help

Adam

Thanks for the link, if I did buy this one how would i know if its the correct h0*/s000* number one I'm purchasing?

if all else fails I will try to get my one out for a look tomorrow, then off to the scrap yard to get one!!

thanks again for the swift reply and knowledge

Adam

When purchasing make sure that you get the 6q0959433e number also the h01 or h02 number the same as you have on yours the link I've just posted is h02/s0002 also the code for the bracket is 6q2971502c
