Featured Replies

If you can get your one out and it is h02 then this one will work in your car plug and play but they do have more on there that was just the first one I came across if yours is h01 then you will need h01 for it to be plug and play otherwise you have to save the settings and transfer it over I went for the easy option haha just a heads up too I went to 4 local scrapyards by mine and spent about 5 hours going through all the polo's and seat ibizas I could find and couldn't find any but got quoted more than what I payed on that site

First of all, thank you for taking time to write this up, very useful and helpful. However, I think there is some confusion between simply adding Remote Central Locking using your existing transpond

  • Yes, you can indeed recode the unit to a 5/3 door quite easily with VAG-COM/VCDS.

  • Thanks man, appreciate it. Ordered a CCM with key with a pre-programmed transponder, should be a plug and play so looking forward to it

Thank you!! Well i know what I am doing tomorrow!!

:) good luck

been out and had a look (broke my bracket off) I have one currently with the number: 6q0959433h and its an H02/S002! this means the first link you sent me should be the right one for plug and play!!

just got a quote for the key to be cut of £75-90, just looked on carkeyhelp.co.uk, they can do it for 15-20 has anyone used them? and am i after the HU66T6-FLIP transponder?? thats my final question.....for now!

Edited by AdamPhillips

Yes :) and £75-£80 do you have the key already ? I had my own key what I got from the scrap yard and had the immobiliser programmed and blade cut for £30

The transponder needs to be id48 and the key needs to be 1J0 959 753 DA/AH the DA model is the one the others said to use but I got the AH version for nothing from a scrap yard and it works perfect

Also that is not the key you want that is the key you already have if I'm not mistaken ? Search up that 1j0 code on Google and look on images and that is the one you want

Where about are you based ?

I'm based in Barnet London. so I brought a new key from ebay (DA/AH) and but places near me are extortionate for cutting!! So I looked online and there is this place that cuts the key to a photo of your key for under £20 and they send a fresh transponder!! http://www.carkeyhelp.co.uk/products/VW-HU66-flip-key.htmlthink this should be ok!!

I managed to get all mine done key and ccm plus new bracket for £53 all in the blade is Haa check the local scrap yards for the key and a blade will be £15-£20 including the cutting then programming the immobiliser chip shouldn't be too much just ring a local locksmith who works out of their van that's what I done I'm. Based in Liverpool just ring around and you may find a better deal

what I'm saying is i have already brought the CCM from the link you sent me for £18 inc delivery, and have the button remote but was quoted £80 for cutting the key! so that why I think its a good option to buy a new blade cut, just need to make sure thats the right chip!!

Well you want a haa blade and an id48 immobiliser chip

The immobiliser chip will still need to be programmed to your car

I NEED URGENT HELP!!!!

installed new CCM programmed key, but it only unlocks/ locks front doors and boot? anybody help...pleaseeeee!

Adam

Is the programming for the CCM correct or the correct unit for a five door?

its at 4-tuerig unit? can you re code them with VAGcom- lite?

also does it matter wich port is left empty?

Normally for the coding you need the full version, Have you looked at the Ross-Tech wiki pages ? http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

do you think that is what it is?? just needs re-coding? (it basically ignores the back doors)

It does sound like a coding issue, I take it the rear doors worked before you changed the CCM?

Yeh they did! looks like I need to find someone local with full VAGCOM local to me as its allso my one touch windows that don't work!!

thanks for your help!!

  • 5 weeks later...

Hi could you use a 4 tuerig unit in a 3 door car without having to do any coding?

  • 1 month later...

Can anyone help me with an upgrade to remote locking for a 2013 6r ? Got central locking just not remote, been looking at kits on eBay, ones that come with an haa flip key, can I swap my normal haa key into the flip one and simply add a remote unit ? Any help greatly appreciated ?
