Ohhhh I beg to differ! Unless he was to throw a lot of cash at it, in which case he wouldn't be driving a mk4 polo. There's enough one off fabrication involved in that to keep an experienced engineer / fabricator going for a few years.

For someone to do it for you you're going to be looking at £10-15k mid mounted or longitudinal front mounted RWD, possibly looking at £7-8k for a front engine FWD if you can get the whole lot in a subframe so minimal fiddling with the car.
