yes you need adaptors and yes you could stick 165/50s on. Nothing else required :-) I assume your next question will be what size adaptors?

awesome

umm haha yeah you guessed right!

so i'll need two adaptors?

one set of 4 adaptors is needed. the thinner the better due to the low offset of the wheels

you'll need an adaptor per wheel, 4x100 hub to 5x130 wheel. Required thickness depends on how much you want them to stick out but popular sizes are between 20 and 35mm probably more toward the thinner end of that due to the relatively low offset of your wheels.

ahh so the adaptors would act as spacers then?

just so I'm certain, all I need is the 4-5bolt adaptors that you mentioned and the wheels will be good to go?

thanks for the replies!

yes. 4x100 > 5x130 ones

ace

thanks for the help :)

although, I've just added up everything I'd need and don't think I'll be getting any in my current financial state :') aha

You wouldnt get them on with a 20mm spacer on standard arches really,

Although that was a 175/50/15, so in theory the 165 would be fine, but still the rim poked a bit what with it being an offset of 3.
