Did you get a quote from flux though?

Honestly at your age i wouldnt even bother using compare websites and similar bollocks. As they give crazy quotes (like what your posting up)

Ring them up and i guarantee you will get them cheaper.

And having your parents as named driver ends up worse in the future as your insurance shoots back up when you go on your own policy. As my mate has found out recently

Fully comp will be more expensive so just go TPFT

Aye tried Performance Direct and got - £3,969.13

Flux gave me a quote of.. think it was like £6700, that was by email cuz I CBA calling anyone just now when I'm not looking for the insurance just now,

my first car is a 6n 16v afh with all my mods declared such as wheels, coilovers, induction kit, stainless exhaust and i have 2000 stereo cover, i am with quinn direct and my insurance is 3200 fully comp 100 excess, how the hell are you geting quotes like that on a 1.0 lol you should phone them up they give you a quote and then you say that you can get it cheaper else where and they always knock thier prices down if you do it between 2 companies you could save £££s so try that :)

My son's just got his first insurance, £1700 for a 1ltr mk3 coupe. Car in his mum's name, insurance in his mum's name with him declared as the main driver, lets him build up no-claims as well. He's done it through cooperative insurance iirc

17 year old with 1.9. i woudlnt insure you for no less than 7000 pounds. no offence but boys and there fast toys usually end in tears.

lol yeh its a 1.9 but its Diesel and I wouldn't exactly say its fast :)

Plus I'll be like 18 1/2 by the time it comes to insure it lol... but then that wont make that much of a difference to insurance
