Am I being too optimistic?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I'm 19 and looking for a Mk2 Golf GTi 8v, I don't have any no claims bonus but have been driving for 2 years as a named driver. I am moving away to university soon and want to take the golf with me, and I would be the main driver however I don't seem to be getting any realistic quotes through on insurance. I'm not looking to modify the car, just keeping it clean and OEM until I finish uni. Am I being too optimistic in getting a "reasonable" quote? Very happy to be third party fire and theft, as this is what the Polo is on. Can anyone recommend any companies? My dad (who is the main driver on the polo) has 5 years NCB, but despite adding him as named it makes little difference. More details include:

19

Mk2 Golf GTi 8v

Pass plus full licence

A class postcode

Software Analyst as job

Father with 5 years NCB

Mother with 0ncb as she doesn't have a second policy

Can anyone help me out or give me some advice?

Thanks a lot :-)

Feel free to try my company. as long as the driving named driver experience you have had has been claim free, we may be able to help.

Tel: 0208 3645500, please make it very clear you are a clubpolo memberas you will get a discount.

Thanks

Try Chris Knott (see Tim@chrisknott for more info)

ChrisKnott require 1yr NCD for 19Yr olds and it's TPFT only

"You must have at least 1 year's NCB (unless you have NCB on a second car or a company car letter to state at least 1 year's claim free driving)"
