took the throttle body off and cleaned it right up but after returning it it is reving around 2-3000rpm and everything is plugged in exactly how it was. If i remove the sensor from the top of the body it revs go down to 900rpm but as soon as i put it back in it goes all the way up again.

does the throttle need to be reset or something on the vagcom or do i have to clean out the Idle control valve?

if it needs the vag does any one know a decent garage in the Watford,Hemel,St Albans area?

thanks

previous problem i was trying to solve

when i am in 2,3,4th and around 3000/4000rpm it jerks and power loss and have to play with the accelerator untill power comes back. I've had this problem for a while but its getting worse

i ran the VAG and i got

00519 -155 KWP1281

INTAKE MANIFOLD PRESSURE SENSOR (G71)

CLOSED THROTTLE

IDLE POSITION SWITCH(F60)

It could well be that the throttle body needs to be re-aligned. Any half-decent garage should be able to do that for you
