has the tracking and camber been done since you've fitted the suspension? drivers side front wheel looks a bit cock-eye'd to me

Yes mate it's had tracking done but not a full 4 wheel geometry. I'll get it on a HUNTER machine at some point in the year. As I installed the suspension myself I went for a bit of negative camber on the back and kept the front as straight as I could by sight. I tracked it by sight then took it over to my mates tyre place and he tracked it on his Supertracker.

Steering is bang on straight and tyre wear seems even after 5k miles so I'm not too worried at the moment.

Another quick update, picked up my GTI tailgate yesterday and couldn't wait to get it on!!

I was so damn lucky, it was LB7Z Satin Silver and in pristine condition so didn't need painting Took us a few hours to do it properly, taking out all the wiring, piping and lock barrel etc.

Anyways the end result is great, it's finished the car off just perfectly and I'm really happy with it. I was initially looking at fibre glass replica spoilers off ebay, but you just can't beat the factory look

Also received my wind deflectors from JamesB, and popped them on too.

Yeah still got your seats, converted one of them to pull forward like the 3 door ones so now I'm good for access to the back.

Everything has come to a stand still really although I have a cellar full of things that need to go on!

Quick update and just for a bit of fun, we put the Polo on our new Dynocom 5000 rollers.. Completely stock AHW (75bhp, standard panel filter, ignition, exhaust etc). The only thing it is running is one of our ECU remaps (www.premiertuning.com for info)

Car has 125k miles and runs on V Power Petrol only. I was expecting it to be down on power due to the mileage, but it surprised me at almost 83bhp The 8bhp gain we quote is pretty achievable.
