I've got a mk3 polo breadvan.

does any one know would this fit??

i was lead to presume that the strut is a part of the hub and cannot be taken off? or can it be nocked out with a nice big hammer???

ryt first things first,

yes it will fit and yes u need a very good hammer with a lot of strength from you are arms and a helluva lot of wd-40

oh and u might want spring compressors, as u dont wanna ping the top mount off in you are face and send the strut flyin the other way, it will go straight thru a brick wall if u dont have a spring compressor

It wont ping off through a brick wall :lol: But it is best to take the spring off with spring compressors, also that looks very expensive - look at philj's kits on here :)

got it so take the spring off in the usial way. and then what? smash the strut from the box section of the hub??? then nock the new one in?????

also could you link me to the philjs kit mentioned above please

for the kit i have linked above do i have to some how split the strut from the hub????? or do i jst undo the big bolt to remove the shock, close to the spring seat????
