i have recently got some vwii calipers off a mk2 golf 8v gti, i am just wondering what carriers will i need?

Either will work depending on the wheels your running

Standard MK3 carriers are good as they give extra clearence when needed but the standard carriers that come with the calipers will also work under certain wheels.

they didnt come with carriers as they are attatched to the hubs.

I think Toby's talking about vw2 carriers as found on g40s. Have extra bracing over the vw1 carriers, but can cause wheel fitment issues with some wheels.
