any of you guys n girls gone from recieving lower renewels to a rise?

mine went from 2400 -2600 so i rang them explaining that i had been quoted by them 1700 at my renewal so they said add your mum as a named driver then i got it down to 2000 so i said i want to speak to a seniour advisor who found me a promotional code which got me down to .......... geuss what 1700

at the end of the day they just try to rob you and you need to search around for a better deal or ring your insurance and they can whatever they say get a reduced price for you!

I'm 29 so price isnt as steep as some of you young drivers

but still a pain in ass,and the renewel is the cheapest,checked the comparison sites

guess when the insurance companies squeeze your bollocks you just have to cough up

insurance is a right scam.

they put your premium so that you call them and tell them that you found a cheaper quote from someone else, they then want to know what that quote is...

hang on... they've quoted you one price then will under-cut your cheapest one by a few quid, so what was the point of the first quote?! just trying to rip you off.

don't tell them your cheapest as they should give you their best price to start with!

Because its an insurance renewal, they always put the price up. phone the same company give them the details of your car, say you dont have the reg number just give them the model and see how much they quote you, it will probably be the same as what your paying. Then point out youre already with them and would like to renew at that price. If they have a problem go elsewhere. You should never allow a car insurance company to just "renew" phone around, it will take 30 mins and you will always find a better price.

What makes me laugh is you can insure a house and get covered up to 70 grand for whatever may spontaneously combust inside of it and all this for less than a quarter of what some people HAVE to insure their cars for not like you can take it or leave it with car insurance.....well some people do
