I went about dying the faded doorcards with black dye, I think it made a good difference to them, I only got 3 from one bottle, so ill have to get more.

the biggest difference was the drivers front, looks way better now, no pics though. :(

just behind the ashtray in the back, the pipe for the gravity valve in the the fuel lines, lovely.

Removed this lot... guess what it looks like now.

ARB blocks fitted and front arches mildly rolled.

Where did you put your washer bottle? I want to put mine in the boot? how did you do it... Also how come you took the charcoal canister off can you do that?, BTW well done mate truly motivated what i like,

its where the chaorcoal canister used to be, win win, just got an old washer bottle that fitted and re routed the piping and extended the wiring to reach the new location.

failed mot on the chip on the windscreen

replace the track rod end and got a new track arm so the garage would track it, the boots were ripped,

got an advisory on my rear hoses, so i'll be sorting them soon.

yeah man, always something to be doing, as soon as i get money after the above has been done, there are lots of plans on the cards , some big some not so big.

Always nice to hear other peoples appreciation of my hard work

got myself some aero wipers off flea bay and another interior aerial.

must sort windscreen washer and rear brakes.

also will be fitting fog lights and rewiring the headlights along with a nice lil mod for the tail lights.

Just looking through the last few pages of this thread, where did you run your cold air intake to? Below the radiator?

And when you removed the hot air intake ducting, did you blank it off?

And finally, are you running it with a standard filter in the airbox or have you got a cone filter in there somewhere that i can't see?

What dye did you use to your cards? I got a quote from a near trimmer for £400 to recover the cards in black cloth!!!!

used dylon leather and suede dye. £3.60 you'll need 2

cold feed down to bumper, sticks out the front slightly, it sitd close to the engine actually gets quite hot on a drive, which isnt ideal, but the air cant warm a condsiderable about at 60-70mph?

Well I've fitted new dash speakers, with tweeters,

added an elctric amplified aerial.

changed the rear flexi hoses

added a washer pump

and my favourite mod so far twin tails

just out of interest, would i be alright to lower 60/60 without rolling the arches? and how easy is it to roll arches yourself, bearing in mind i dont have an arch roller!

naah dude wont be making dubshed this year, too far, (london to belfast)

i will hopefully be making it to VAGE in fermoy in August.

running 14x6 et38 and 185/50 14s the fronts caught on the screw heads for the arch liners, at the front, loads of clearance at the rear. so you should be able to get away without rolling the arches if running standard specs,

if you want to borrow my heat gun and arch roller for a weekend sent me a om

Alright guys i bought an AFH conversion that came with an 8p gearbox, Are these different to CEG box fitted to my AAV.

The AFh was fitted to a Mk2 golf before i bought it.

What do people think is a decent box to compliment the AFh, fit in a Mk3.

when i was running standard steelies, i didnt need to roll the arches.

running 14x6 et38 and 185/50 14s the fronts caught on the screw heads for the arch liners, at the front, loads of clearance at the rear. so you should be able to get away without rolling the arches if running standard specs,

Mate thats so kind i really appreciate the offer. What i'll do is ill buy a set of springs and shocks and see what happens, and then get back to you about that! My rears are 7J and my fronts are 6.5J but the offset must be low as they're banded steels. the tyres are nicely stretched though, so may pass the lip just.

Just make sure you spend some time hiding cables and tidying things up and this will be one wicked project

Yes i will be hiding the tweeter wires, and aerial cable when i can, will also wire up the central lockingand make it neater.

Well after a near enough 600 mile round trip, the Skolo was perfect.

the engine is showing the 108k only have 42 bhp at the wheels after a spin to Aldon.

oh well

time to rebuild the Afh and get the handling sorted.
