2000 VW Lupo Sport Trackday/Project SOLD

Featured Replies

I've been on an off thinking about selling this or finishing it for best part of 2 years now. I think I've come to the point where I've had so many cars, mostly polo's and lupos that I just want to be a one car guy again

A bit sad putting it up for sale but I would really rather someone on here buy it and finish the job.

I've priced the car at what I beleive it is worth. there is no TAX/MOT but with a little work I'm sure it would get through an MOT if your plan is to get it road legal. Ideal for someone to finish and turn into an enjoyable track car.

I've not used the car much since 2008 so but I do take it out every few months to make sure its still running happily. With a set of jumper leads It starts every time (although the battery is flat) and is drivable. I'm not aware of any mechanical faults or problems with this car.

The whole history of my ownership is here if you have time to read through it. Please have a look for further pictures of the car but take I'm mind most pics are over 3 years old.

The car has:

123,000 miles

Cam belt replaced on 117k

Raceland Manifold

Custom exhaust with tailpipe looking as close to the standard sport as possible.

Catted pipe and 2 decat pipes to swap over. (decat fitted)

BMC air filter

Original Lupo Cup Car 6 point roll cage (LHD) in the car but not bolted in yet.

Lupo GTI driver side aluminium door with the tinted glass

Been heavily stripped, unneded looms have been removed along with under trays, wheel arch liners etc.

OMP steering wheel

Cambridge rear lights.

FK Coilovers

G40 sachs clutch fitted

15" OZ Superleggera's + 1 Spare wheel (No tyre)

Cobra clubaman seats. Only driver seat fitted atm and mounting points will need improving.

Bad points.

The interior has been totally stripped. It's not the tidiest job and would require a little work to complete. The dash had been removed but I have now cut it to fit back in behind the dash. It is currently NOT fixed to the car as I need to find the bolts to hold it all in.

Roll cage although in the car is not fitted. Needs to be bolted in. The cage is not perfect and would benefit from a rub down and respray.

Paintwork is not perfect some small scratches/dents but nothing too bad a small dent on the driver side rear arch.

The seats are quite low and the mounting brackets are not really good for the track. Driver side is faded, but passenger is ok.

I Would love to see this go to someone who has time for it and could get it on the track. If anyone wanted to build a lupo track day car this one has already had a lot of the work required to get it there.

So any questions about it please ask.

I'll throw in the LUP111N show plates too if you want them.

I have lowered the price now I have had a good amount of time to look around the car and beleive this reflects what it's worth as you will need to spend some time on it to either get it on the track or road legal. It also takes into consideration the amount of time the car has not been in use, although the car has not just been standing in the same place for that duration.

I'm looking for £1250.

For an additional £100 I will also throw in a Cobra Imola bolt in racing seat and 2 additional spare wheels (OZ Superleggeras).

Bump. Still not splitting. Plenty of people interested but no one wants to drive here to collect.

Open to offers.

May have some new pics over the weekend if it doesnt rain too much.

I really didn't think I'd ever want to sell this but after having way too many cars, I think it was 5 or 6 at one point. I just want to start again with it all especially now I'm selling the G40.

I will consider a p/x down for a mk3 polo with tax/mot. Possibly a swap for a car (vag ideally) of similar value.

I've priced the car at what I beleive it is worth. there is no TAX/MOT but it wouldn't take a lot to get it through an MOT. I'm not planning to MOT it myself.

Ideal for someone to finish and turn into an enjoyable track car.

I've not used the car much in the last year or so but I do take it out every few months to make sure its still running happily.

BMC air filter

Original Lupo Cup car roll cage (LHD) in the car but not fitted yet.

The seats are quite low and the mounting brackets are not really good for the track. If it's a quick sale I'll throw in a Cobra Imola bolt in seat

Would love to see this go to someone who has time for it and could get it on the track. If anyone wanted to build a lupo track day car I'm sure you would be paying around the same price to find a decent car to start with and before you even start adding to it - or taking away as I did

So any questions about it please ask.

Price lowered and new pics put up taken this afternoon. :-)

I'm also looking for a set of 13 or 14" BBS Ra's so will take money off the lupo if you have these to p/x. I doubt it, but worth mentioning :)
