Evening guys,

I'm new to clubpolo and i'm after some advise.

I've got a 1996 Polo 1.4 CL 3dr and the central locking does not work at all. The key does not work the drivers door and the key does work in the passenger door. I have got power going to the pump and it seems i have power coming from the passenger door to the pump. I don't seem to have power coming from the drivers door to the pump but i thought that the locking would fom the passenger door. I have noticed that if i lock and unlock from the passenger door i don't get a change in polarity along a signal wire from the door (always live). I don't know what it could be, could it be the pump at fault, passenger door signal microswitch or the drivers door microswitch or a combination of both the diver and passenger door microswitches? Any help would be appreciated. I have included a curcuit diagram borrowed from Auto data :)

The central locking pump is a common fault on these. So i suspect it is that.

You can get them from eBay easily and cheaply.

Check to make sure the paddle in the Driver Door is not broken, remember if buying a pump to get exactly the same one with same Serial Number, I have one for sale in the sales section

where abouts will the number be? also could i try the pump out my girlfriends golf to see if it will work or could it blow her pump?

Number is found on the base of the unit, gota make sure it has same connection.
