Helios Blue

Tax and MOT until November 2010

2 previous owners, full service history with reciepts, mot's etc

Really nice runner, has never let me down and has been my favourite car so far. I would love to keep it but I am slightly bored and want a change, maybe something a bit bigger.

I bought it as a fully standard example in February and decided to make a few subtle changes to it. I lowered it on some 60 40 shocks and springs and put on my Wellers on it and did some minor arch work to help the rear wheels tuck under the arches nicely. My plan was to get new tyres, fill the arches and respray all the parts which I have primed. It runs quite low and relatively firm but nothing like cheap coilovers.

The interior is clean with no rips or any sort of wear, rear seat looks brand new as does a lot of the parts on this car. However, there are some dents, scrapes and rust areas, around the rear arches and front arches but this could be easily sorted. There is no structural rust, engine runs well and has no major problems. It is a 1043cc and pulls surprisingly well, carb sounds great. The Wellers are 13x7 0 and are running 155 65 13s, but I also have the original steels which can be included instead of the Wellers for a lower price. All of the Wellers could do with new tyres and 2 of the steels are close to the legal limit.

I am in no real hurry to part with this but I am ready for something new so I will see what happens. I would be up for a part exchange either way or a swap with someone, doesn't necessary have to be a Volkswagen either. Just message me if you are interested! Thanks

Sorry for the lack of response everyone, yes it is still for sale as I have a new car on the way and I am hoping to sell it sometime within the next 7 days to make way for it. I am keeping the Wellers now, £500 on steels, if your still interested give me a text as I don't have the internet currently. 07549951660. Cheers!

I will try get some pictures of the engine bay up soon, problem is my camera got stolen and I have no internet access currently. I am going to keep the Weller steels now I am afraid due to forking out loads of new tyres for my next car. Cheers!

Bump, make me an offer.

hi interested in this?

Make: Volkswagen

Model: Polo Genesis 1.3 spi (single point fuel injection)

Year/Reg: 1993 K reg. only 4 previous owners in 17 years

Mileage: 59K

MOT: February 2011

Tax: December 2010

Good points:

5 speed gearbox (no crunches or popping out of gear), rev counter, factory steel sliding sunroof (no leaks whatsoever), 4 speakers with new JBL GTO327 front speakers, lowered 40mm all round with new PhilJ shocks and springs all round fitted by PhilJ himself last February, unmarked original Genesis rainbow interior with no rips, holes, burns or stains whatsoever, original VW key which fits all locks and a spare, vgood Pirelli P3000 165 x 13 tyres.

Bad points:

I did not get much service history at all with the car. I personally believe the mileage to be genuine judging by the car's condition and the way she drives. She also has a genuine VW oil filter which I took to be a good sign.

let me know if you would b interested in some sort of deal :)

Hi, that Polo looks pretty tidy but I want to get something a bit older this time, thanks for the offer though!

The car I was hoping to get was involved in a crash unfortunately so now I am open to swap or part exchange this, I would rather this than a cash sale as I need to use a car daily. Let me know if you have anything I may be interested in!
