OK, this has got me completely bumswizzled. I've tried everything. I followed the instructions in my Haynes manual (maybe that's where I'm going wrong right there!) and now I'm supposed to "withdraw the control panel from the fascia". HOW? The black plastic tabs for the screws (in each corner) is preventing the control panel from coming out. I can push the control panel in but it won't turn enough to pull it out that way either. Am I missing the bleedin' obvious? Any advice would be appreciated, or if you live near Southampton I'll pay you to come round and fix it.

I can see what you mean, I have never had cause to remove one of these panels, but looking at your pic. what about removing those torx screws? I know the manual doesn't say that but it looks as if it would help.

I would ask why you want the panel out, should it be to replace the voltage dropper for the heater fan speed, it isn't in there, it's at the side of the left foot rest.

Sorry I can't throw any more light on the subject.

as above, depends what you need to remove it for.

if it's to replace the LED behind there, there's a thread on it somewhere in here...
