Show & Shine

Featured Replies

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the people who voted my Derby to the top once more, i'm still very smitten with the car and the attention from the CP lads and lasses that it still attracts. This is the last year that you'll see old JYA in the show and shine at the Polo Show though as I think it's time for other, newer cars to grab some well earned limelight. There's another Derby on the go now which might be finished in a few years, so I'll be back with some fresh ideas, hopefully...

(for those who remember, I was the chap handing out the CP air freshners from the old Raleigh bike on Saturday)

Cheers muchly, I guess it can although I might still put it in some of the bigger shows occasionally.

Car looks fantastic in the flesh. The thing that did it for me was the paint, it was flawless!

hands down got my 1st place vote....

if i honest..nothing was even in the same class or lose to the standard of the derby..

There was nothing unfair about it,it just gets better and the lovely new cream leather just knocks older trophies off the shelf because it just set the car off like every other tastefully matching detail. Its not flawless or original (whether the fake-splits sit right in the arch is a matter of opinion, scratch lines under some chrome are not),but its for others to show a better one,and from what i saw there are people catching up so its not a one-horse race.

But it was my favorite on the day quite simply, its gorgeous, mint as anyone could need, and it'd have got my vote if i'd been eligible.

Congrats again Vic, please still bring it to the show over the next few years while the CLS gets some love, again well done sir!!!

I'm afraid i didn't but you car is sweet and I so wanted to see it

plus my miss wants your car

Suprise suprise vic told you I should have bet a tenner for you to win haha even with all its imperfections for example.. Bird poo on the roof! enter your resto raleigh next time! Alex :)

i dont think it was unfair either...a bit of old and a bit of new is how it should be...personally, i wasnt expecting to come 2nd so i went off to have lunch and thought the trophy giving was at 3.30 but by the time i got back at 3.15 it was all over and everyone had left.

Well done mate, the car is definately mint...and i'm glad the red breddy came 3rd but should of come 2nd...oh well.
