Good points:

Car is a low mileage clean example of GT in Red. I have carried out a bike carb conversion so it is now running on CBR 600 carbs, facet fuel pump and mk2 golf vac advance dizzy, coil and Ignition AMP. I have removed the ECU and wiring but this will be included in the sale along with everything else to put it back to Fuel Injection.

Other Mods include:

H and R 60/40 Cup Kit

PhilJ stainless steel exhaust manifold

Custom made stainless steel straight through mid pipe

Powerflow back box

Car has had oil flush and filter change in the last 20 miles, at the same time a new clutch has been fitted along with new gear shift selector , rocker cover gasket and crankshaft gasket.

Bad points:

Carbs still require some setting up, the car runs but there are flat spots and slight hesitation and restricted feeling at 60mph plus, I think the cabs could do with a rolling road session.

MOT runs out at the end of Month.

Does not have arch trims.

Usual car park dints and dentsfor a car this age.

Paintwork would benefit from a good polish but isn't too bad.

Yeah, you sold it to another Tom who I then bought it off!! It is still very tidy and great fun to drive, just needs the bike carbs sorting out and it will be even more fun!!

price reduced to £700ono because MOT is nearly due and it will probs need trailering/towing away because carbs aren't set up properly yet. Need this gone because it isn't being used at the mo and it sat out the fron in a public parking area, not good for the poor thing, she needs someone to use her!

How much work is it to put it back to ecu for the mot? need a car soonish and dont mind playing with carbs but need to be able to use it atm.

Well it needs the fuel pump refitting, the whole inlet side refitting and ecu and wiring plugging in etc may need to source a couple of the bolts etc and a fuel rail because mine has snapped.

to put it into perspective. i had this car just over a year ago in standard condition and paid £1200 for it and was very pleased with it. obviously i cannot vouch for work been done to it since i owned the car but its got be worth more than £550 all day long. someone fucking buy it! lol

It is still in great nick, just needs to have locks replacing (£30 for full set off ebay), carbs sorting/tuning or putting back to standard and then MOT. runs fine but isn't being used now and is on a public road so really has to go!!

can i ask does the car actually run and need just the carbs setting up or are there major running issues as I'm very confused.

really like the car

Car runs and just needs carbs setting up properly, at about 60mph it feels like its lacking power and is hesitant but the engine and car is sound, carbs just need tuning/tweeking. No major running issues at all.
