My coupe s

Featured Replies

Right well am back in the £400 car club ;)

Picked this up a week ago, its a 1300 mk2 polo Coupe S

As youll see, its a little tacky but what can i complain about £400

Driving it home though, 5th Crunched so it no longer has that, but thats nothing ;)

Got it home surprised i didnt get pulled as the wheels it came on, were litterally canvas, and stuck my 13x6 ATS classics of a Opel Manta on, suited the car straight off, Got pulled a day later for plates, so they came off, and everything good at the minute,

It runs a NEW Spax suspension kit (i think its 70mm) and has a GT interior, some retro house audio speakers in the rear and a standard front dash speaker, the manifolds blowing like a bitch, but least this one stops ;)

Heres the pictures anyway

Theres how i got it, gave it a clean and put the classics on and got this

Then two days later, it starts looking a sorry state again, right now its filthy, done a thousand miles since cleaned, and up and down some bends, so plans for tatton are, clean it crisp, get all the tacky stickers off (PVW, Clubpolo[has about 5] and a few others) and put an original plate bon the rear

Well saw it in a few photos from Tatton, didnt look up to scratch at all, filthy and wheels were caked in mud and brake dust :/

Need to order some billberry anyway here they are

Also cleaned the engine using the last of my degreaser,

Going to be treating it when i get paid, get those tacky stickers off, new orange repeaters, give it a full detail, New numberplates for shows, bumpers will be stripped down and be re-done using textured paint (someone painted them with a handbrush prior to my ownership) and possibkt a refurb of the classics and some ventercaps

But before that happens it will be visiting a garage,

Steering rack has a fair bit of play :/ handbrake cable snapped today :/ Exhaust is blowing like a bitch (manifold) meaning the manifold and the gasket will be replaced, it will also have a full service so i know everythings up to scratch and done professionally!

It may then get MOT'd 3 weeks early depending how cash is :)

Well bit of a update

Got bored of the Meteor Grey classics, so decided to do them bright :/ some may like some may not, marmite i suppose

Got some Lada Adriantic Blue from Halfrauds, some filler, primer, laquer and set to work

Dont have any pics of work in process, but only one of them on the car

The old paint didnt really strip to well, so theyll be getting sandblasted over then winter and then powder coated unless i find some new wheels ;)

Sprayed the filler cap, since it was scratched to shit from the little smash i had, still need to get a new one as its bent abit, also sprayed the gay fried egg filter, due to it being pretty tacky, this will be going black as soon as i get the car back from its MOT

So heres a picture,

So previously at Tatton

And now

I fancy running some White 7.5x13 Revolution RFX's when i can afford it, hopefully next year but first off MOT needs to be completed and a door sourced

Thanks Luke

This is a coupe... and this probably don't have a MASSSIVVEEE rust hole in the door.

I like this, I regonise the wheels from somewhere. 8-)

Once this is cleaned up, it'll look bob on. Get some rake on!

Who has a massive rust hole? ;)

And yeah there the same as yours, they have actually been round my local club, Matt (vpolo) had them on a 6n, sold them, then a guy ran them on a Mk3 bread, who sold the mk3 to another lad, and now I've got them

As soon as i get paid I'm going to pick a door and full lock set up, so that should see it alot nicer, hopefully colour magic alot of it and get the front end sprayed

Fancy some topcaps on the front too ;)

Got some plans for it now

I've found a bloke who will spray the exterior cheap

This involves, full strip down, prep all surfaces (welding, and rebuilding arches if need, ill be getting them rolled though)

Paint and anything else to do with bodywork

the bumpers will also recieve a makeover, with textured bodyshop bumper paint.

I'm hoping to go lower, looking at top caps on the front or maybe a full upgrade on the kit

Been looking up Weller wheels also, planning on some 13x8 for the rear and 13x7 for the front, both slightly cambered (rears more than front) done in gloss white with blue rim tape

the grill will also have a blue outline to follow a theme

Started drawing up some plans for some speaker pods for the front to house my DLS K6 Components, and then i fancy a subtle install in the rear, a nice small two channel amp into the side, followed with 2 5" tangbang subs hidden

There my basic plans at the minute so lets see how many get done ;)

Looks awsome, i quite like the untidy look! Whens it going in for the spray?
