Cheers buddy, it took a bit of work but i'm happy with the outcome :-)

I really do home so just need somewhere to do it now, i'm almost considering doing a driveway spray job though, anyone managed to get a decent result spraying outside?

Its always going to be hard but even more so at this time of year when there is a lot of moisture in the air.

if u can lend a booth or unit that u can heat up to temp ! i was considering doing mine on my drive but its way to cold ! unless we have a really hot day witch is very doutfull

Yep, I've attempted painting things outside in the cold. Paint went strange before it even hit the car. Went kinda powdery like

Cheers guys, really wish I had the money to just buy the parts but what we've done should last a good few more years fingers crossed

And the paint was not a wind up, we're gonna use a booth at my dads work while it's on Christmas shut down, I can't wait!

Nice work! 8-)

It's painted, just needs the bonnet re doing as that came out a bit shit, but once that's done it's ready to be rebuilt and put on the road.

Will upload pictures in the next couple of days after I've set up the Internet in my new house.

Nice work on all the fabricating dude,

How did you remove the front cross members? grind them off or something?

Looks so clean!

Ahaaa I parked it next to the V6 purely to exaggerate just how clean it is. I may have to mail you soon about your door handles again, I'm being really thick and can't work out how they work

Also, if anyone's got a driver door bump strip lying around, let me know, mine broke and I can't put my arches on without it :(

looks great, get on tidyvag.co.uk if you aren't already, it's a local meet in the poole/bomo area.

That's the one down holes bay right?

I'm a member already, but I forgot my login. I'll definitely be down there once I pass my test though

wish i could afford a full respray or be arsed with prep

It's definitely worth the time and effort, I'm so happy with it, even though there is the odd imperfection.

Just got back from taking my dads girlfriends valver out for a spin as I'm on her insurance till mine's road worthy, bit of a result. Still prefer mine though

so it's all back together, GT arch kit and clear indi's are on and interior is all back in.

just waiting for a new bump strip for my drivers door and still haven't put my sill covers on, but once that all together it will finally look complete... sort of...

still got my wheels, a bee sting ariel and a few other bits sat in the garage waiting to go on as well, but that can all wait for now.

i have fitted the badge back on the front and windscreen wipers but unfortunately this is the most recent picture i have

any comments welcome as always

finally got round to fitting my wheels, however as expected the 15's are far too big. looking a little bit like a golf country with the $X$ stance going on. however i don't currently have the money for different wheels and lows so it's staying like this for a while.

post-36494-1297975477_thumb.jpg

you can run 15's if you have very skinny tyres

Looks good. 165/50/15's are a choice tyre I believe.

you should always do your research! and not rush! this applies to everything in life!

and a few more !!!! for good measure!

yeahh but i already had a couple of tires hanging around so got all four matching.

I've decided i'm really not keen on the cups now so i bought the poslow some new shoes

post-36494-1298405400.png

nothing special but should allow me to go a bit lower and they should tuck nicely with a 50ET. just need to sort tires but will be doing my research this time ;)

still not alot happened with my poslow yet, but thought i'd do a quick update as i have purchased a few items...

last week a little german man knocked on my door and handed me this, a brand new LHD late spec rear light, now just waiting for the RHD one to come then they'll be on the car

post-36494-1302360140_thumb.jpg

i also found some dope atiwes for sale, i have sent a deposit and should have them by the end of the month :D

the last thing i actually did to my car was the usual GT clocks and steering wheel so nothing exciting has happened lately, hopefully now the summer is on its way, update will be coming slightly more regularly!
