Hey guys,

Basically my policy covers me for 12000 a year, but i have nearly done that in 8 months, what happens next? because i'm worried that when i phone them up and say i need to add another 6000 to my policy they will go okay, no worries, that another £500 bigones, and i'm already paying over 2k TPFT on a 1.0 6n :(

Or will it be a case of thats fine and job done?

Any help will be much appreciated

I'm not sure whats the cutoff but i put mine down as 5000 a year, change it to 10 no difference. its abit of a lottery somethings dont matter and others do insurance companies seem to do things by random sometimes lol. i wouldnt bother ringing up to add another 6000 since the 12000 a year is an estimate you gave em.

On my first year, I was covered for 2k (which was fine until I started driving to work) then called them to change to 10k and they just wanted the admin fee. Call them and ask! They'll know better than we will

If there's a claim on a limited milage policy they will check what milage you've done since the last MOT and compare to what you have told them. If the MOT was after the policy start and you've done more mile than on the policy they may not cover the claim as they have proof.

They asked me what it was when took out the policy.

My 2nd year insurers didn't ask.

We wouldn;t worry about mileage but some companies do. Best to ring them.
