Mk3 or Late Mk2 handbrake lever mech

Featured Replies

Need the handbrake lever and also section of exhaust tunnel that it mounts onto from a mk2 '85 onwards or any mk3. You need to cut it from a shell, i can't get a cutter to the scrapyard so need someone to cut it from their scrap shell! So I can weld it into my Mk2.

Can anyone help?

The lever bolts onto the car. I've got one here, could also possibly cut a section out of the tunnel if required

yea sorry should have worded it better, I don't think you can swap the levers, it's the whole mech from the tunnel (to fit a late tank to early mk2). if you could do this that would be awesome

i've just had a look on etka, and it looks like the actual handbrake is the same part number on mk2/3's. pm me with any bits you need?

bump the handbrakes are different. mines early mk2, shares the handbrake part no. with a mk1

can send you a handle and cover trim for £8 posted

also have the 2 wee cable brackets (cages) for next to the fuel tank if you want them too for an extra £5 or if you want a powder coated black version for an extra £8

thanks, but I really need the part of the tunnel as well, so if someone can cut it out of a scrap car can probably supply the lever. will let you know if i need it.

I've got the cage bits already cheers.

There's a Mk3 at a scrapyard 20 miles down the road so I'm on the lookout for a portable grinder to cut it out, unfortunately no-one I know seems to have one

think I can help you with this! I've got a lever and about a square foot of tunnel with mountings etc on. (off a mk3) got some cables too - not sure which though. Think the long one's in-tact. I could sort you a pic out today if you want. Let me know.
