I would reccomend a decent exhaust on this badboy.

Take it to powerflow or simular.

Boot build sounds good. Maybe re-carpet it all first though.

Do you want me to change the name of the thread?

M

Yeah buying pipping off my mate and cherry bomb mid box should be up next week as it looks like I've found work

Boot build will most likely be one of the last things I do

My brothers had his bedroom carpet done and had some carpet left over so I did a quick cut out and placed them in looked pretty good as my original plan was to cut out as mats. I'll put pics up but it gave me an idea of what it would look like.

Yeah if you want to change the name of the thead just put Kane instead of max

Much appreciated

Update soon! :)

Just waiting on my mate to stop being awkward and send me the pictures

Finally have pics :-D

And the exhaust is on, not the one i originally planned but i like it and sounds great. I had it done at Custom Chromes Nuneaton http://www.custom-chrome.co.uk/. The plan was to have a cherry bomb midbox and then pipping I bought off my mate I sanded and resprayed as an exit. But after speaking to custom chromes he said the better option was to cut the standard backbox off and see how the car sounded then. It sound great so he said he would make some pipping and give me a choice of what tailpipe i wanted.

Before

The old backbox was knackered and bent where it had been knocking

After

As you can see I went for an upswept tailpipe as I thought that going with a normal exhaust sticking out would look weird on a mk2. Been told it looks like a japcan but to honest it doesnt look bad and its a step up from the other exhaust. It drives a lot smoother and accelerates noticeably better aswell. Also for £60 including tailpipe, labour and VAT I'm not gonna complain.

I'm disappointed that I spent time on the pipping i bought from jakeymet and it didnt go on the car but I enjoyed sanding and spraying and its inspired me to do more stuff on the car like that in the future.

Future Plans

I've had a think about what I'm gonna do to the car now and the image i want is a retro exterior look and a modern interior.

So mini lites, roof rack etc. is what I'm after and new carpets, seats etc for the inside.

I want to finish the exterior before i start on the interior so the next step is geting some 13x7/8 minilites on low profile tyres so it drops a little aswell.

Constructive critisism is welcome :-)

Also Daddy told me he might buy me a more modern car but i can keep this aswell so it will leave me more money and more time to spend on this!

WINNER! (hopefully)

:-o

Very good mate, i like it.

The engine is a dream in that car, the weber, GT cam , 1.3 head and facet fuel pump. Pretty good on juice.

I would highly reccomend you take it to someone who knows what there doing with the weber, No offence.

They will be able to set it up correctly and you find a noticeable improvement in MPG and power.

M

yeah haven't noticed a change in mpg since the exhaust was put on but would you reccommend anyone?
