God I know. Loads to do.

As for which one I like best. It's SO hard to decide, its why its been really hard on what to do regarding engines.

But in all honesty, I think driving a Mk3 is much better, Feels so much more solid, Which is kind of weird because the mk2 is german built.

A lot less rattly and comfortable.

Things to do for both projects are;

> Machine DMTL to MH inlet manifold adapter.

> Machine 4 cylinder head to bike carb runners

> Rebuild DMTL

> Jet DMTL and ZXR 400's

> Machine ARB blocks (own design)

> Fit mk3 exhaust manifold and double downpipe to mk2 + Weld up new exhaust

> Rebuild 1272 MH

> Pick up new wheels (tarantulas) And order new tyres

> Re-fit interior to mk3

> Bleed brakes + Re-machine brake drums + Paint + new disks

Loads of other stuff lol :doubt:

See I believe the opposite regarding mk2 vs mk3 shell. But unless you have both set up with identical brand new components it's hard to really tell. I just felt that there was more communication from a mk2.

Plans sound good mate

I'm in on both of these if you fancy doing extras for some beer money ;):unibrow:

Although, i need to check whether my meccy head (GF) code inlet is the same bolt pattern as the MH inlet. The 2E mounting plate is a 4 stud arrangment isn't it? I have spares kicking about..

But seriously pm me a price if your up for it!

Yeah saying that, the lowering kit on my mk3 is a lot older than the one on the mk2.

The wellers are now sold :doubt:

Drove down to Nuneaton Saturday morning to pick up some corrado seats and replacement wheels.

Haven't got any pic's yet, But oh my god are they comfy!

Tarantulas will be getting a refurb and then wrapped in some decent, no balloon tyres,

Will get some pic's up ASAP.

Also designed some of my own ARB blocks that will be replacing these crappy things.

Will be doing a bit of testing then start selling.

One of the main differences of my design is the fact they don't need an additional clamp to stop lateral movement (I hope), meaning they will be considerably cheap.

Instead, They literally clamp on the ARB themselves before being mounted onto the chassis leg.

Will update when further progress is made.

Look good mate, however you probably will need the additional clamps, the ARB needs to be able to rotate in the blocks when the springs compress doesnt it? meaning you cant clamp it so it doesnt move? What material have you used for the blocks then?

how hard is this to do with golf arches does any one know think it looks sick :)

Yeah will get pics up soon

Thinking of getting mini superlight rims and a muffdiver exhaust.

Looks like you did a lot of work MaxMax very good!

Yeah, alot of money was spent on bits for it.

If You want to, you could use this thread for your updates? I will change the title to what you want etc.

M

Yeah mate that would be good but not got any cash at the moment for any mods

Need to pass my test aswell two weeks today

Any ideas what rims would look good? I would like deep dishes.

When i had the mini wheels and put them on the hub, it looked sick. Could go with some 13x 7 wellers, similar to what max had on but with the more wider stance. Some nice prolished wheels with maybe red centres would also look awesome.

Also any ideas on what performance mods aswell?

Also max did you have a service history?
