custom seats for mk2/3 FS in magnolia vinyl

Featured Replies

I've decided to take the interior of my bready in a different direction so over the next week or so i'll be removing the front and rear seats (keeping the doorcards tho)

some of you may have seen the car on this forum and in Fast Car magazine.

Front seats are Cobra Roadster SR seats - technical specs are here:

http://merlinmotorsport.co.uk/product_info...medium=Shopping

https://www.europaspares.com/SEATS/COBRA_SE...ATURE_3876.html

trimmed in magnolia (a lightish beige really) with the same colour piping. they are currently mounted to custom frames like this:

http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/sparco-subframes-p-609.html

so they'll slide straight into mk2/3s maybe other models as well but you'd have to check

the rear seat is a split folding bench, retrimmed in a matching shade of vinyl by D:Class automotive, with vertical fluting/stitching so they tie in with the fronts

front seats have a couple of marks on them at the mo as it's my daily driver, i've got some vinyl cleaner so i'll give them a good clean when i remove them (better pics then as well)

as for price, well the front seats are £200 each new and the rear bench retrim was a shade over £300. subframes were about £100 the pair = £800

need the pennies to fund my new interior so lets start the ball rolling with offers around £475

i'm in newcastle upon tyne - delivery possible at cost of courier + packing materials but collection obviously preferred. could possibly meet or deliver depending on location.

only got these pics so far but i'll update the thread as soon as i get fresh ones

thanks for looking,

mack

open to sensible offers - don't be shy

would you sell the front seats on there own mate

  • Author

i'm reluctant to - as nobody is gonna want a custom trimmed rear without a front to match.

feel free to make me an offer for the fronts tho and if there's no interest in the full set then i'll get back to you

cheers for your interest. is that your bready in your avatar? had my eye on that when it was FS on pistonheads 8-)

just uncovered these from dry storage at the back of my unit. still look superb but i need the space now so £250 ono. Can only find one of the subframes now tho but it would be easy enough to copy the other one if you were fabricating them up.

Driving to Leeds/Bradford area Wed eve and then Birmingham area Thurs morning to collect my new interior so if anyone wants to meet along the way then get in touch soon.

Cheers

Mack

Pmd :)

are you selling the speaker pods?

  • Author

cheers dude - they don't go with every style of car is the reason i think. they'll be on ebay in a couple of weeks if no takers. they're just wasted on a shelf

I would have these if you were closer to Bristol :(

£45 to ship - can do a deal on the price if you're seriously interested

Going on eBay at the end of this week if no takers...

Found the other subframe yet? I'd be interested but not for about 2 weeks as money's :/

  • Author

yeah - found the other subframe. thought i'd chopped it up but then found the remains of a standard seat in the same box so it looks like i only chopped that one up. if you're seriously interested, PM me with an offer and if it makes me happy i'll hang on to them for you.

might stick them on ebay anyway with a reserve - sick of shifting them around so they don't get damaged

deposit now taken

Wow a i used to well admire this car but heard it was crashed :/ this interior is awesome

  • Author

thanks - I bought it off the previous guy who had crashed it. I was originally going to break it for parts but it had too much potential so decided to save it.

I've redone all the bits that were shit or downright dangerous (80mm lowered springs with standard shocks!) and am currently fitting a new interior.

with working overseas at the moment i'm not getting to drive it much but when I've taken it as far as I want to go with the mods, I'll spend a couple of summers just enjoying it.
