Down sizing engine for cheaper insurance?

Featured Replies

Atm i drive a polo 9n SE 1.4 which is an awesome car but I'm off to uni and want something cheaper to run and insure like 1 or 1.2.

Stickin with VW I'm leaning towards a lupo or a 6n? any opinions on pros and cons??

Lupo:

p- I like the lupo as its novelty small and is newer and not disimilar to the 6n2 ineterior and the 9n extreior

C- Thy are still expensive and onlt have 4 seats.

Polo 6n:

P - pick one up releativly cheap and the modding is simple to get a good look

C - older than the lupo and, dare i say it here, rather commmon polos to mod.

Any opinions would help,

As i said looking in the financial sense too :)

cheers

depends what kind of driving you'd be doing tbh. If you do alot of motorway miles, you'd be better off keeping what you have as a 1litre would be drinking fuel at 70.

If its only gonna be for pottering to the shops and back, then get a mk3 1043cc - cheap, cheap to insure and will run on and on and on and........
