One killed, two injured street racing.

Someone decided to take it upon themselves to glue drywall anchors to the road in a popular spot for 'fast drivers'.

Car was a Ford Sapphire. According to one post there were about 30 of the "nails" glued to the pavement.

Stay safe guys.

Holy Shit!!!

That's intense..! I don't agree with street racing, but that's no way to try and stop it!

Shit, who glued them to the road?

Sticking them to the road is as bad, if not worse than the street racing itself.

I don't think many would condone street racing but it takes a twisted person to do that.

attempted murder. bet the guy is shittem now

Old people that always moan about speedy drivers

That's fucking ridiculous..

RIP, hope the other two pull through

If they catch somebody for that they`ll get done for manslaughter. I guess they were just hoping to puncture tyres not kill anybody. These people are cowards. I hope they catch them but I have ZERO confidence in the police

every time i look at that car i imagine a snobby old nice person doin it

Surely that is murder not manslaughter!

You dont accidentally glue some tyre shredders down on the road.

Although they will probably say "they didnt intend to kill anyone" and get a stupidly short jail term - If they ever get caught.

But how on earth could they live with themselves after doing something like that.

I disagree with that, I have confidence in the police. My friend has been a copper for 2 years now and his stories have really opened my eyes to how much shit they get, when there is very little they ("on the front line") can do about it

It will be hard to find out who did this, but you cant blame the police for that!

/Rant over :D

Thoughts go out to those involved + hope they catch the IDIOT that did this

I agree, road racing is stupid and people shouldn't do it but glueing those to the road is tantamount to murder, what on earth did they think was going to happen when a car sped over that?

cant see any pic on that link?

imagne if you were on a motorbike!

Shocked and disgusted that fellow human beings could do this knowing that they could cause injury, WTF were they thinking!!!

imagne if you were on a motorbike!

tbh i dont think ud want to imagine the same accident on a motorbike, but i feel sorry for the guy who died and hope the other 2 pull through

i dont condone street racing but that is sick and twisted and only a sick and twisted bastard could do sumthing like that, and to generalise it to street racing, well that couild have been anyone drivin down that road at speed

its mental what people do in an attempt to 'make things better'. I heard from the guy i work for (he's in to mountain biking), about something very similar in an attempt to stop motorbikes flying about on the moors near me, what someone did to combat it was to lay a plank of wood sunk in to soil, covered by leaves and screw nails in to it, then leave it for someone to fall victim to it (an attempt to fuck up tyres i assume) The guy i work for was on his bike, down hilling (you can imagine the speed) when suddenly he was thrown off his bike, over the handlebars and came to rest about 30ft further down the hill after tumbling alot... the wood had stuck in to his tyre, hit the front folks, and flung him over the top...

i cant understand the mentality of someone who think that kind of behavior is an acceptable method of dealing with issues like this... I'm sure this kind of dealing with approach is probably more of a problem, than the initial problem... :retard:

sad times.

I can't imagine what that person was thinking, surely there are better ways to combat fast driving. I hope this person cannot sleep at night for being such an idiot. I hope the peoples families are all coping as well.

Fuckin' 'ell.

A barbaric response. I hope the families of the ones killed are strong enough to fight until they know who did it.

r.i.p :(

having read through it all though, i wouldnt say it was certain the screw/nail was to blame. looks mighty close to the kerb in that pic for a start. and as it says on the forum there, could easily be the type of thing to fall of a builders flatbed. unless there are pics of loads of them on the road somewhere :?

I've heard of stuff like this happening

mate of mind found cheesewire across one of the trails he downhills on at chest/head height. WTF is up with that ?

Seriously f'cked up. I saw a guy on TV once that had been on his motorcross bike and gone in to fishing line throat high...crushed his voice box

and couldn't speak again.

i saw the same type of thing except he ran into a barb wire kids had put out to irritate horse riders and it decapitated him the kids were only like 10-12 iirc and he was 22

on the sierra note that is just plain and simple murder think all it'd take is a mum rushing her kids to school not just "street racers"

r.i.p and god bless the other 2
