Hey guys, one of my mates on here said that I should spray my door handles silver but I'm not sure how to do it if I'm entirely honest! I went to the scrapyard today and found a couple of Polos but didn't know how to take the door handles off clean without braking them! Anyone know how to? Whats the best way to spray your door handles make it look flush.

This is my car you can see the colour code I want to change the black door handles the same colour as the car.

A guy on UK-POLOS.NET done this to his car thats exactly what I want to do to mine! What has he done and how did he make it look so perfect?

Also above I really want to spray the bottom of my front bumper silver the same colour as the car I think that would look sweet as I can't find any 16 valve bumpers around cornwall it's real hard to come by them!

i had my hole car resprayed so i did mine, to do it take of your door cards and then you will have to unbolt them from the back. once u have done one it will be simple enough. when i sprayed mine i had to rub them done quite a bit due to the texture of them.

Ah nice one man thanks for replying but how did he get such a clean finish from it in the picture above has he resprayed his car? I just want to respray the front bumper at the bottom make the black silver like the cars finish and then take the door handles off and give them a go as well! What do you suggest or what does anyone suggest if people are reading this.

Then spray it the colour you want? In my case I think it's satin silver.

to remove the door handles, you do NOT have to remove the door cards. There is 1 bolt inside the door edge (it's a torx) directly along from the handle, unbolt this, slide the handle to the front of the car, then pull it out as if you were opening the door... simple.

Please don't give out false information again

NOT false information, this is how i did it i did this when i sparyed the hole car. most probley easier to do what panda said. he seems to know what he is doin

Thanks man appreciate it! That's helped me alot! I recently took the front skirt under the front bumper off today and sprayed it silver but there are a few patches so going to sort that out sunday give it another good few sprays of liquor and paint!
