Unfortunately I dont have them yet!

i was in the shop you bought the wheels from today (its in my home town). i was eyein a set of these too but they infromed me that they would need machined to fit. hope you know this?

sorry to dig up an old thread, but did you ever get these wheels fitted?

Edited by mrman

mrman fyi you can get them to fit. They are actually rover 216 vitesse wheels, or at least replicas. Originally made by a company called lemmerz for the vitesse model. They have oversized tapered seats for the bolts (so special bolts are needed to run them, also the centrebore need enlarging to 57.1 and in some cases you need to run spacers to clear brakes. I had a set which I sold to an old guy, who fitted them to his mk3 golf cabby

any information of the bolts needed? are they off the shelf anywhere or need specially made?

Wheels never showed up! I've ended up with a refund through ebay ages ago! I haven't been online much - life (job/kids/wife) keep getting in my way.

Still enjoying buzzing about in the GT - I took it for a blast today to work and gave it a good work out.

MOT due at the start of next month as is the tax. need to take off the 14's & refit the 13" steels. fix a hole in the exhaust. My full beam lamp on the dash clocks isnt working either - it stopped a while back. but I've been told its an MOT fail because of that!

Now sold - new owner took over custody of him yesterday. A local lad has him - so hoping to still see him often!

Digging up an old thread - Had a polo meet last night with a few local lads, thought i'd text the owner of the GT to see how its going! I've found out that its been sitting on his driveway not going anywhere for ages as he has now got a MK2 golf.

So if anyone is interested in a home made GT that needs a little TLC then please get in touch and i'll pass on his details - Just so you know the car is located in FALKIRK
