mk2 polo facelift

Featured Replies

hi all iv already put some pics of me van in the newbie section but i thought id put some pics up as i go along and make it official

iv only had it acouple of weeks before iv mainly had vauxhall's and bm's but now I'm loving the vw scene and wish id come over sooner lol.

me van's a 91 mk2 facelift with 174000 miles on it's back the last owner cut the springs down and i think its on standard shocks and the exhaust sounded like a sherman tank so on the way home i phoned our kid and told him to meet me at my house poor lad.took all the exhaust off and i rewelded the lot now it sound lovely

Really like it mate! its not often you see mk2f (normally refered to as mk3 on here) vans!

its in really nice clean condition, lots of potential there!

very nice mate. looks awesome.

Was that air filter a straight fit or did it need some work?

That looks pretty clean, a dope colour too. I have been looking for van panels for my bready for ages, but no luck what so ever :( Good find!

Looks like a tidy little van. Usually there battered to fuck.

i thought about that but I'm not shure if it has too have them over a certain age??????

can anyone shed any light on this please

as long as the front indicator can be seen from the side, you don't need repeaters.

mk3 polo's have wrap around front indicators, so you'll be fine! :)

My mate runs no side repeaters on his g40 with no problems.

Nice van by the way, looks nice and clean for the mileage

they didn't go on too bad took about an hour each side ,better then i thought anyway and the way the look aint bad at all for reps .for the moment they'll do.I'm going to keep my eye out for some originals

next job with them is to get em rolled ready for the coilovers that should be next month now

also while i was messing outside i resprayed the roofrack satin black.

This looks awesome, keep up the good work mate :)

just a quick update, not done alot to the van realy iv got a 60/40 ta full kit for him just untill i can afford some coilovers.iv put some different alloys on (pics bellow)

I'm also in the prosess of getting some info on a engine conversion I'm thinking 1.4 8v.

wheels045.jpg

iv been trying to think of a name for him and finaly iv thought of one,so from now on me vans called CHARLIE.

i know too much bloody time on my hands lol

Edited by poloandyb

i think engine conversions are the way forward for polo vans

i realy cant see why vw thought a 1ltr van was a good idear
