Alpine White Mk2 Golf

Featured Replies

Right guys, it has come a sad day to sell the mk2. With looking for new jobs and looking to commute further the golf just wont be able to handle the motorway miles and the tough winter, this is my only reason for sale.

I picked her up of a guy about 15mins from me after seeing it advertised and it had only one owner previous to me, after the old guy had passed away the car went into storage for a good few years and then came into my hands.

The Specs:

Alpine White 1985 mk2 Golf 'C' 1.3 4 speed

84k on the clock

2 previous owners (me being the 2nd)

comes with no history (lost when old boy passed away)

Some MoT cert's and receipts for what i have brought

12 month MOT

Tax runs out end of month

Exterior:

All red rears

7 slate single lamp grill

early quarter lights

DIY chrome stripped bumper

Rolled arches

Budget coilovers (£250)

SSR MKII split rims (£450)

Brand new nankang tyres (£130)

No rear wiper

Badges colour coded

All hella front lighting

Interior:

Blue stitch seats

with all standard 'C' spec doors cards, speakers, steering wheel. Everything standard

Later spec door cards with pockets.

All original mats

Tape player (for ipod use). All wired up ready for CD player if required

Engine:

Completely standard 1.3 engine.

New cambelt

Runs like a dream and has never let me down once.

Brand new standard exhaust

Overall Comments:

All in all this car is a very sturdy shell. Great for a base. It has never let me down once, and runs and starts fine everytime. Sometimes you have to give it some umpff when starting her after a long journey but she always goes well. Would be great for a run around or for a strip down and build.

Bad Points:

Front wing has been knocked and touched up badly by previous owner

Some rust on the lower arches due to original mudflaps being in place

a crease down the drivers door.

Water pump bearing needs replacing (still runs perfectly fine and will do, just a noise)

drivers window winder mech needs changing

I have been totally honest in this advert as i have been pissed about before and realise how annoying it is. If anyone wants to discuss more please PM me or call me on 07772932472.

Price:

£1650 would look to PX against a nice mk3 or straight swap for one.

Sweet little motor this one, looks better in the flesh than does in the photo's and thats saying something.

Instantly recognisable and always catches my eye when you drive past. Good luck with sale, the buyer will not be disappointed :)

Good to hear you're staying with VW, catch you soon (still got the polo hehe).
