My Silver 6n2 :)

Featured Replies

Been on here a month or so now so thought it would be worth doing a progress blog.

Sold my mk4 golf due to not wanting a big 5 door anymore and wanting something smaller.

Was upset to see it go but then within days i had my hands on this little beast for dirt cheap and really low mileage!

Its practically spotless.

My future plans apart from the obvious like de-badge, de-wiper etc. Are to lower it on some JOM or AK coilovers and get some 15" calibre alloys. Reason I'm going for the for these wheels is because i haven't seen them around often and would like to be fairly different :)

Then I will be going for the black and silver theme of a black roof etc. Then eventually smoothed boot and bumpers.

Comments welcome :)

Been doing a few little things to my car recently. Got my coilovers on and lowered it :) really happy with it, still think it could go down a bit more on the back though!

Also Debadged and dewipered the rear which i think has tidied it up really well.

Got my gti grille on as well :)

Comments welcome!!

Excuse how dirty it is lol haven't had a chance to clean it this week! Hopefully getting some schmidt modernlines next month :)

Looks cool :-)

Amazing how much lowering transforms a car.

Where are you from mate? I'm sure i've seen this around...

From surrey bud. Kingston.

Yeah changes the car alot. Cant wait to get some dish now then will concentrate on the bodywork :)

Totally agree with Tris, Afew simple mods makes it a new car, I've done exactly the same on mine!!

Not sure if I'm a fan of the wheels, but they might look good on the car :)

Is this a 16v? Theres one just like it where I work haha

Nah only an 8v mate. Yeah I'm not too sure about the wheels anymore, ideally looking around for some ronal turbos or schmidt modernlines either in 15"

Right slight bit of progress. Should be getting my hands on some nice cades eros wheels at the weekend and looking forward to putting them on!

So shall be putting the new wheels on and trying to lower the rear a bit more so the wheel tucks nicely under the arch.

Watch this space!

Right finally got my wheels thanks to monkeyman on here :)

Put them on last night and took a few photos. Going to give it a good clean today.

Not sure whether to take the rear helper springs out and lower the back more or get some 20mm spacers and make it nice and wide hmmm..

Comments Welcome

Quick question, how do i change the topic description? So for example changing it to "New wheels" so when people see it on the photos and gallery forum they know whats going on?

Go to edit the top post and then go to 'Full Edit' :)

I personally think the wheels look too small :(

I also think that more lows would fix this ;)

  • Author

Thanks prox! Too small lol there 15s not going to go much bigger than that. Yeah more lows will be coming soon. Need to roll the front arches and take the back helper springs out.

Looks cool

I like it  I was considering these wheels at one point, there the Cades ones arent they?

Looks nice though mate.

Yeah cade eros or something mate.

Think it will look a bit better when its dropped more. Put my mates 20mm spacers on the rear today, going to leave them on til i take the rear helpers out. Will get some photos up tomorrow during the day.

Regretting selling these to you now lol look sweet dude, get some pics up of the spacers would be interested to see what they looked like

Bit of progress has happened recently. Fitted my exhaust system and bought some new 15mm spacers for the rear. Pics will be coming soon!
