MK5 GTi Suspension on MK5 E?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Would i be able to swap the GTi suspension from a 6n2 GTi onto my 6n2 polo E to get some lows (not much i know but lows all the same) and not have to declare it on my insurance as i'm using OEM parts and can say that it just came like that or is GTi suspension the same as "normal" suspension?

Cheers for any replies.

They'd have to really know their polos to spot it, so you might be ok, but not declaring mods is always a grey area and if you have a crash and get found out, you're screwed

Yeah, i really, really doubt they'd clock it tbh, and it's hardly much lower.

Ah, ok. Cheers for your replies guys. Shame it's not much lower, guessing about 20mm or something. Stumbled upon a 6n2 buying guide a while back and it listed all the different models of 6n2s such as the SE, Colour concept and the gti and one of the 'extras' was lowered suspension but it didn't say how much lower. Was just a thought but seems like too much messing about for not much lowerage.

Yeah I wouldn't bother, way too much effort. You'd feel so disappointed after
